lol yep. I've never assumed whether someone's pregnant or not, but I've gotten the wrong gender sometimes.

Eh, I think he's talking about how every single person at one time or another has stuck their foot in their mouth. He used a really shitty example to illustrate his point. Obvously not everyone has done that, but it happens enough for it to be a thing.

I've never done that, but I once said "how can I help you sir... ma'am... sir" and then I slowly backed away and begged my coworker to help him/her.
