I don't doubt that THEY think it's a good idea and would be a ton of fun while also helping out james and matt and bringing back fans who might have left after above the noise and all of that. I also don't doubt it will be fun or a great show. I do doubt their management not saying. Wait until you release the album and then make this the first tour for that album since they tour each album at least twice. Doing it before the album while having these dates locked in but no release date for the album is my problem with their management and a bit with them since they seemingly have no idea how to run their careers lol but really that's their management's job and they've been failing so hard for at LEAST the last 4 years. Mcfly should be bigger they should have already had a resurgence because they're better as a band than even the majority of their fanbase gives them credit for. However they tend to just go willy nilly into things and not really plan shit out properly. I'm fine with them going,,. You know what the reaction was epic at the anniversary shows. We have weddings and babies on the way we don't have the time to properly promote an album so lets do this now instead to appease everyone and have some fun and if it works out release a bit of music in between until we do have time. Instead they're supposed to be figuring out a release date and promoting their own stuff and yet here we are with nary mention of when the album is coming out or how the tour is going to work within the confines of that. Again it's really an issue with management and yeah it's fun but it should have at least been curtailed until the album was solid and ready and on it's way out the door instead of this feeling like a preemptive strike or them trying to test the water for how long people will wait. I mean hell just admit we would like to court our old fans we lost before the new album comes out instead of pretending like you don't have a new single and didn't announce 3838380.9 times that a new album is coming out.
Again I say this as an american fan because while I trucked over for some anniversary shows I wouldn't do that for these for various reasons so it doesn't ...play to me in the same way. Since all I'm waiting for in a tangible way is new music. Music we've been promised for years now lol. Yet I would understand the babies and wedding excuse more than the We wanna tour with our buddies excuse. There is a way to give everyone what they want and i'm just waiting for their management to realize this.
they are putting out the album before the tour and will probably do shows before and after the mcbusted tour Dougie (i think i cant remember who their new icons) said on twitter. the release date is just after christmas (again from twitter) they havve the release date we just havent been told yet. They dont WANT to be a super big band though they just want to play and hthats what they do and sure fame goes along wtihthat but they dont care if they are super famous or not they just want to have fun and as long as Tom can afford all his lego and disney toys they are happy. theres been loads of mentions of the album i dont get how you've missed it? lol even peope who hate them know about the album.
ah i see where you are coming from being in america you dont get as much of them as we do but here they arent doing anything different than other bands and we see them on our tvs and in our papers every day almost so i can imagine it feels different
