Weirdly like especially for the uk fans I'm like yay! for you guys, go get it, dreams come true I know this was a lot of your childhoods and I'm sure it'll be awesome.

And yet as a US fan I feel this is more awkward than nkotbsb which while an obvious ploy for money and relevance, live was fucking amazing and it also made a ton of sense for BOTH. Whereas this would make more sense in like 5 or more years. Like idk the mcfly boy are still relevant enough that they don't need to do this. It's just this is the kinda stuff their management and them do that mystifies me. They're so flippant and go left when they should go right.

Whatever. I'm sure like nkotbsb the show will be fucking epic and amazing and delightful and hopefully will bring back their old fans who said "and you can fuck right off" after above the noise and it helps them peek again. And for busted. I hope it helps James and Matt in whatever way they would like. Hopefully more writing for James cuz I still love forever is over and think he really could be an ace songwriter ( ... )

i think this is only happening because the boys are best friends not for money or anything like that i mean its pretty clear from a lot of the stuff mcfly has done they dont care about the money they just want to hve fun

I don't think they're doing it purely for money. I think NKOTBSB was purely for money. This seems to be about a awareness nostalgia boon which is fine but ill timed for McFly and makes them seem as if they feel they're fading and need to do something like this. Plus if anything instead of pushing the oh look they're great musicians and songwriters and work with the hottest acts today it pushes NO NO LETS not think about how they're all taken and having babies instead lets go back in and be nostalgic. It's novel, it's cute, it's fun and it'll be a great show but it's not the direction they need to head in yet. Give them five years and see where this new sound is headed first this seems like a preemptive "We know you're all gonna bitch about this album so here's something for the old fans" strike.

oh i get yah i misread the money bit!

see i dont think it is i think its just something THEY want to do (and considering they wil be on CiN i think charity had a lot to do with it as well i wouldnt be shocked if a large % of the earnings go to CiN) i think they just want to have fun with their friends like smaller bands do on their tours but they areto big for that now so they have to do arena things and do goofy nicknames and stuff

I don't doubt that THEY think it's a good idea and would be a ton of fun while also helping out james and matt and bringing back fans who might have left after above the noise and all of that. I also don't doubt it will be fun or a great show ( ... )

they are putting out the album before the tour and will probably do shows before and after the mcbusted tour Dougie (i think i cant remember who their new icons) said on twitter. the release date is just after christmas (again from twitter) they havve the release date we just havent been told yet. They dont WANT to be a super big band though they just want to play and hthats what they do and sure fame goes along wtihthat but they dont care if they are super famous or not they just want to have fun and as long as Tom can afford all his lego and disney toys they are happy. theres been loads of mentions of the album i dont get how you've missed it? lol even peope who hate them know about the album.

ah i see where you are coming from being in america you dont get as much of them as we do but here they arent doing anything different than other bands and we see them on our tvs and in our papers every day almost so i can imagine it feels different

he does decently solo wise but honestly his music isn't "that" different from what mcfly does now plus it would be sorta a nice gesture to gain him more fans or regain his old fans that feel a way about him. Yet he would never because he's not even Robbie williams/ Justin timberlake style distance from the past and then years later come back and tip the hat. I'm sure if Charlie could he would erase his existence in busted from the face of the earth lol.

Not that I blame him I just know if it was me I would at least do the tour since UK tours are so short anyway or a one off show like the charity one, just to years later give the fans some closure so they would get off my ass ala JT. However I do get that if the old band and Mcfly are still taking silly pot shots at me I wouldn't go back either no matter how innocent they are cuz it would be odd.

I see your point about the money thing. I'm happy that this is happening, but at the same time I sort of disagree with it because I'm a little desperate for a new McFLY album haha.

This is my issue. i think they're doing it for relevancy and to get their names out there in a bigger way whereas NKOTBSB did it for that and the money which is fine and i'm sure the money isn't a deterrent here lol, but I think it's such a stupid fucking idea when they should do it AFTER the album since I don't believe for a SECOND they won't put out some kind of EP at the very least thus delaying this album yet a fuckingain lol.

I think since they did a preview of McBusted in their 10th anniversary shows, they realized how much fans really loved them together, therefore that happened. However it is skeptical they decided to announce this now before a long awaited album since Above The Noise is supposed to come out.

No doubt they have always gone on tours at least twice a year for money, which also prevented albums being released. They also released another greatest hits album? which makes much more sense this time around than the first one, but still.

I feel like this definitely push back the album 6 more, which is disappointing for us and the fans since we have been waiting so long. It's putting a lot of pressure for them now, especially since Tom is a dad-to-be. Between now and April, they better put that album out or else. -_-

I mean i get it and I thought it was cute and exciting and the energy of the crowd was crazy but Matt and James sounded horrible on the Mcfly songs and it really accented that the difference is while yes Mcfly aren't always on pitch or key live they tend to actually sing and have good voices where busted was always lets just fucking shout live ( ... )

You are totally on point with the timing. I take back what I said about being happy about it, I'm really not--I was at first like you mentioned. It was cute and all, but right now what every McFLY fan really wants is a brand new album we've been waiting for. Do they not realize they haven't released an album IN THREE YEARS since Above The Noise came out (subtracting Memory Lane ( ... )
