Samantha Barks has landed herself another big movie role!

The UK star broke onto the silver screen last year in Les Miserables, and now she’s teaming up with Universal again for their adaptation of Dracula. Luke Evans is starring as the famous vampire in an origin story that sees a Transylvanian prince risk eternal damnation in order to save his wife and son from a Turkish horde.

Barks will play a figure in Eastern European folk tales known as a baba yaga, a beautiful young woman who turns into a savage witch according to THR. This will definitely be a different role than we’ve seen her take on before and we can’t wait to see it.

Icelandic star Thor Kristjansson, “Game of Thrones” actor Art Parkinson and “Boardwalk Empire” actor Charlie Cox have also joined the cast. Kristjansson will play Bright Eyes, an Eastern European taken as a slave as a young boy and now a vicious assassin in the Ottoman Army. Parkinson will play Dracula’s son, named Ingeras.

The movie is set to open August 8, 2014.
