I could see it having to do with a lot of things. her one and true love is heath, and she may feel as if it is a slap in the face to heath and his family by having her adopted. I could also see this affecting the inheritance in some way (I have no idea what I Am talking about with this). also, I would be hesitant to let a man I barely know adopt my daughter so fast especially in hollywood. marriages don't last that long in h-wood. michelle is being very smart.
