Killing Mike was such a bad move, they made such a wrong decision.

That said, I'll miss them, although I stopped watching after S5. 2004 was a year of good television.

Edie's actress said that she was killed off because of some fight she had with Cherry. Cherry's like NAH BRAH I kill off fan favorites and people I get along with too! And then he killed Mike to make a point.

Part of Sheridan's case against Marc Cherry is that he has never killed off a main character before and only got rid of her because of the slapping incident. He fought that the choice came before that and there weren't any emails or anything because they didn't want it to get out.

When asked if he ever did it he remarked cryptically, "Not until sunday" or something like that....

So honestly I believe Mike Delfino's death was to prove that he would kill off major characters....and not for story purpose.

Agreed. Especially after everything they went through - Zach, his amnesia, the car crash, Dave, Katherine, Mike's drug+money problems...and then he dies 5 episodes before the end? Such bullshit, ruined the past 8 seasons for me, tbh.
