I've listened to a lot of Timbaland and the Neptunes. The production on some of the big R&B tracks over the last decade or two is amazing. At one point, people weren't being so afraid to do something a bit weird.

THIS SOOOOOO MUCH

Missy's catalogue, for example. I don't wanna sound like one of the "those people" but music today really does sound like a lot of the same, to me, IMO, etc etc.

Do you have a list of songs to recommend from Timbaland/Neptunes?

i've been jamming to The Jump Off by Lil' Kim which was produced by Timbaland. Timba's best work, before he went to shit, was in the late 90s and early 2000s, when he made songs with Missy Elliot like Get Ur Freak On and Aaliyah's Try Again. those songs were the BOMB.

Neptunes, not into them so much. The best part about them was Chad Hugo IMO. Pharell Williams is the face of N.E.R.D., but his own solo productions are nothing compared for what he made with Chad by his side. The best song The Neptunes ever made was I'm A Slave 4 U with Britney Spears IMO.

Sad they put out an EP today on British iTunes, and I can't purchase it, and no one has uploaded it yet, so I can't listen to the second new song.

I'm about to go to lunch, but I'll upload it when I get back. Just reply back to this if you want me to, so I won't forget.
