i've seen on ontd when it was like a magazine article "the girls of sucker punch" and people lost their shit. that's not a big deal imo.

This article is kind of a flop. I'm sure Beyonce knows that women don't actually run the world. It's a classic 'girl power' song and she's done loads of these before.

I get annoyed with "little girl" (especially because I'm short), but one of my friends who is 18 gets SO pissed off when she gets called plain ol' "girl." Then again she's one of those fake/tryhard feminists that you see on tumblr so that probably explains a lot.

As in she probably sees the word 'girl' as something infantilizing or degrading.

IDK, I have the opposite issue! I'm 21 and still find it realllllyy weird when people refer to me as a "woman." I don't know why, you'd think I'd be used to it by now. BUT NO. I AM A GIRL. :(
