Emmy winner America Ferrera has booked her first TV series gig since the end of "Ugly Betty" last year. What hit series will be graced with her presence, you ask?
TV Line is reporting that Ferrera is set for an arc on the CBS hit series, "The Good Wife." She'll play Natalie, a graduate student in whom Alan Cumming's character Eli develops a romantic interest.
"We've been watching and loving America for years now on 'Ugly Betty,' and it'll be fantastic to see her take on a completely different role: especially one that puts her across from Alan Cumming," 'Good Wife' creator-executive producer Robert King said.
In more "Good Wife" casting news, comedy legend Jerry Stiller has also signed on to guest-star as a judge who has been known to doze off during trials. “Jerry is our dream judge,” raves King. “It was great when we got to stop saying ‘We need a Jerry Stiller type in the role’ and just got Jerry Stiller.’”
Source I've never seen "The Good Wife," but I might have to start watching now. I still miss "Ugly Betty"! LOL @ her being a romantic interest for Alan Cumming though.
