She wrote it for Britney, but Jive rejected it. Then Jive wanted it to be Britney ft. GaGa for Britney's Singles Collection, but GaGa wasn't having it so she took it back and re-recorded it for The Fame Monster. Then GaGa talked to Beyonce at the Billboard awards and convinced her to be a feature on the song, so Bey recorded her parts and sent it to Rodney and he mixed it. And it ended up on GaGa's TFM.
