Over the past year or so, yes, pop has changed into something completely, but the pop charts sounded a helluva lot like ITZ for a few years after it's release.

I'm not saying that everyone copied the album, but it had a sound that really caught on after Britney was pretty much done with the promotion of her album.

Not really.

Pop music in the early part of the decade was very cookie cutter and safe. There wasn't a lot of faux urban influence in it.
