It's fun but not addicting really. Some people DO get addicted and they're a bit nuts, but generally I play it whenever I feel like it and I have never felt the ABSOLUTE NEED to play. It just depends on how you react to it, and you won't know until you play.

Has quite a few million subscribers to the game. Adverts also on television with Mr. T and William Shatner. So it's pretty big overall.

I don't watch TV, I spend all my free time on ONTD or playing Sims. Yes, I live a sad life, I realize this. I'm ok with it though.

If you had asked me two years ago, then I would have BEGGED you to start and join my server. But I got pathetically addicted and it nearly ruined my life. If you're easily addicted to things, don't start.

Oh, and don't tell too many people that you're a girl. It lead to stalkerville for me.

I'd give the trial a go before making a decision. Are you new to MMOs? If so, then WoW is pretty much an MMO with training wheels. It's quite easy to get into and no steep learning curves (like with EVE Online).

And if you want to confuse yourself with different MMOs, go check out mmorpg.com. They have a massive list of MMOs from free-to-play or ones where you pay.

I'd never played a single computer game before WoW, and now I am certifiably hooked. I have to limit my time on WoW severely or else I'll sit in one spot and play for 12 hours, no breaks.

Sad.
