My brother would definitely agree with you. Speaking of anime tv shows made into live action movies, I hope they never actually make a Sailor Moon one. Luckily my little friend Lindsay Lohan turned into a crack whore so they never actually made her into SM...
I did. Lee Pace made me cry, and it was amazingly beautiful. I thought some of the storytelling was off--the fantasy and reality got so tied together that it sort of didn't let the audience in and it was confusing--but it was so worth it just for the acting & the look of it. ♥
Ok. So. I saw this tonight and I liked it. Everyone I was with liked it. We all thought it was "super cute". If you expect it to be some glorious work of art, you will be disappointed. If you expect it to be a cute little kid's film (and have ever watched nonsensical anime in your life), you might even LIKE it *shock*.
My friend and I thought it lagged immensely for the first 45 minutes and then got a whole lot better. We liked it because it was kind of like playing a video game...

thankfully people had the sense not to see this. style over substance. this is karma for the matrix sequels being so shitty.
glad to see iron man kicking ass tho. it deserves too.
