There was no build-up for Lupin and Tonks anyway. BUT STILL. I don't care no more. Let it be crap. It's my least favorite book.

Off course there was build up... although very subtle.

Even Natalia was siked about getting all emo over Remus earlier this year before she found out her character got screwed over.

Tonks is miserable throughout the HBP because she wants to be with Remus. Harry notices a change in her attitude and her new patronus is proof of that. When Harry arrived at the Burrow, Molly dropped a hint that something was up with Tonks.

Then there is that Hospotal scene with Remus.

HBP Film sucks major monkey balls right now

What do you mean "there was no build-up"?

Or do you just wantonly carry trunks with any able-bodied lad who happens to be within proximity!?

iawtc.

it just isn't there. AND we have enough proof that jkr can't do "subtle".

IAWTC.

Half-Blood Prince sucked beyond comprehension and the Lupin/Tonks pairing was a joke. The movies have no credibility to begin with, they're just sort of amusing to watch. Although, the movie might surpass the book in this case. It couldn't get much worse.
