Ugh I wish there's a good candidate lined up to take over but as usual they shit the bed. I don't want fucking PP elected at all. This guy hasn't had a real job in his life and he wants to serve the public? Get real.

Like PP is a bum. And the fact that Conservatives/RR nuts are propping him up is just laughable to me because the guy has never properly worked ever.

PP is a career politician who has not only done nothing in his life but also secured his own government pension years ago. Yet he has the audacity to go after Singh about Singh's pension (which wouldn't even be half the size of PP's due to PP's insane tenure as a bottom-feeder in the Conservative caucus). I do think Singh has been holding onto his seat for waaay too long and him refusing to step down before this election (which also has the optics of refusing to step down as party leader before his pension is secured) was a big mistake, but PP is unnecessary government bloat personified. His entire existence as a politician is a mistake.

I do like that how the NDP held the Liberals to passing some progressive policies. But I don't quite like Singh's way of doing politics. I know politicians will just say what they have to in order to win and he wants the NDP to win, but in previous elections, he was acting like electing the Liberals was the same as electing the Cons. I have eyes and ears, and no it's not the same. You're not going to make me like your party by saying shit like that. Honestly, Jack Layton was always going to be a hard act to follow.

If Jack hadn’t died, he would have been PM. That was the election for the NDP and no one has measured up to him since.

Exactly! Tom Mulcair, who I liked when he was in provincial politics in Quebec, didn't do that much to lift the NDP. I was hopeful Singh might capture the attention again, but as I mentioned above, I haven't been overly impressed with him either.

Jagmeet has been such a disappointment.

The fact that a right-wing career politician like him has co-opted the language of economic populism and working class concerns is laughable. This guy’s entire career has been bankrolled by “taxpayers” but I’m supposed to believe he’s some working-class hero
