Something something, we need the support of the majority of the parties!1!1!! Like sir, you had the support of the actual voters, screw the other parties. You were voted in because you promised electoral reform. The other parties can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned.

Not even too hard - they put out a statement saying based on some 'study', it wasn't the will of Canadians at that time. The 'study' they did was a joke, the questions were leading and it was clear they were trying to elicit a particular result so they could get away with breaking their election promises. The gall of bringing that up on the exit announcement...

I know some staunch NDPers who actually believed him and voted for him on that basis. I don’t blame them for being optimistic lol but I was very, very cynical that any party that wins a majority would ever institute electoral reform.
