Am I gonna drag her forever for continuing to work with her ain't shit MAGA brother Randy? Yes. Am I annoyed that she had the good sense to shut the fuck up after her Harris snafu, denying me the messy ability to make a sequel to my ridiculous post? Yes. Does this residency look as amazing as she does? Yes, yes it does. There's no two ways about it, the constant touring has not only got her looking unbelievable, even by her standards, but it's got her dancing back to the point where she's mopping the floor with people half her age. Gil is killing it with the creative direction, the choreo is looking SHARP, the setlist is ENORMOUS and filled with gems for the casual and hardcore fan, and she finally remembered that she was the queen of the wonderbra aka those tits are back out and proud like its 2001. This show looks weellllll worth the money. I'm interested in how long the show is though because that's a shit ton of songs... like is it one big ass medley? Are we getting three bars of each song? I'm pleased to hear she's doing deep cuts like "Truth" and "Better Days" (The all for you album deep cuts are amazing and don't get enough credit) and underrated classics like "Twenty Foreplay" and "Velvet Rope (She actually features Vanessa Mae's violin solo in the show, something I've wanted her to do since the album came out. I wish there were a real dance break to it but still, I'm floored!)." She really does think of the fans when picking the setlists and that's something a lot of artists could learn from.

I still struggle with both my appreciation of her and her legacy as well as the discrimination she openly lobbed towards Vice President Harris on the other end... Like she's undoubtedly one of my faves, I was lucky to see her live pre-pandemic, but I still have some bitterness about how she handled the situation.

Exactly. I feel the same way. I'm appreciative but also a bit bitter. It's pretty much impossible to get past what she said and I don't think we should, frankly. I too am happy I saw her before she exposed her shortcomings. I don't think I'd have as much fun now even though artistically, I'm sure I'd be impressed. I'm at the point with it where I'll listen to some of her music now, which I've loved my whole life, but I can't help but side-eye her as I do it. Some of the albums actually almost make it worse, because I sit there going "The woman that wrote the brilliance that is The Velvet Rope actually said that gross ass shit?"

She's still amazing, there's no way around that, but now there's an aftertaste I can't get rid of.

I hated what she said about VP Kamala Harris. How could she be that out of touch?

I think she’s close to Randy who is a big Trumper. He was probably feeding her this crap. She’s obviously not going to go online and look up stuff.

I really want to believe that's the case, but if so, it's even more embarrassing to not be informed at such a pivotal time

I'm disappointed about her brother too. It's hard to let go of family when you disagree. I love Janet and her music. She is a superstar and other performers can learn a thing or two from her.
