jacob has been so snubbed this year, it's a shame.

I constantly see Jacob being compared to Sam and always being shat on. I really hate it. It was the same bullshit when Sam got the nom for best supporting and Jacob didn't get one for lead for the critic's choice awards.

All the racist excuses made me rage.

I really hope this never gets back to Jacob. He's not really on social media, only there to promote his music.

it's fucking infuriating how little the AMC marketting team care about their poc actors after getting their DEI points. sam was like >2 eps screentime wise this season, and he gets a nom from Critic's Choice but not Jacob who's giving his heart out in EVERY EPISODE???????? the fandom is being particularly disgusting about it too and focusing it as if we're dissing Sam instead of pointing out industry racism

and as if sam doesn't have a whole pretty much solo season ahead, give me a break. this should've been jacob's and honestly assad's time too.

like i saw someone else say, jacob is THE vampire in the title!!! like hello?? why is he being ignored. we know why but.

The way Assad is underrated...

Sam’s nom should’ve been Assad’s 100%. His performance was leagues better and actually relevant to the plot. Dreamstat was forced into the show because producers wanted to keep him in and added nothing.

Mm I think it makes sense to have Dreamstat there actually bc it reveals a lot about Louis' mental state, also he has a history of seeing/hearing things that aren't there similarly to Paul. Also Sam was gonna linger on set anyway to be around Jacob~ very bleak that they didn't even bother have Jacob and Assad do interview promos together like really?????????

THE LOUMAND FIGHT THOUGH like jesus christ the best TV in decades!!!!! INSANE snub. absolutely baffling of them not to milk that episode for all the awards -_-

it’s so frustrating. he plays *beanie feldstein in Lady Bird voice* the titular role! he’s the glue that holds the show together, giving a performance that is just so fucking captivating and layered. it’s such a bad comparison but it’s the only one we have, but you look at a plank of wood like Brad Pitt in the movie and you’re like “I don’t get it”

and then you see Jacob Anderson’s performance and you’re like “oh I understand why everyone was so desperate to have this guy even glance at them.” one of the best on TV right now but he’s not playing the “iconic” character and he’s also not a white, blonde dude so fandom and awards bodies could give less of a fuck. it’s bullshit!
