I remember liking Bela Talbot from Supernatural, I thought she had chemistry with Dean.

That fandom just hated any female character who was even potentially a love interest for either brother. It's so telling that the only female characters who ever got any real love were all in some way neutered from that prospect (mother figure, lesbian, etc)
