i recently rewatched little women and the nonlinear structure really hurts it I think

I watched the 90’s one for the first time recently and I couldn’t believe how much I preferred it. I cried twice lol

Yeah I don't think preferring the 90s one is nostalgia it's just genuinely better. In the new version when Laurie is obsessing about marrying Jo it seems to come out of completely nowhere.

Yeah that’s exactly it. The 90s version remains superior, it’s incredible and so timeless. Like I cannot imagine any other ways. Made me think that we probably don’t need a new version for the next decade tbh…unless someone else comes up with a solid visionary idea for Little Women. Like, slow it down a bit and update everything for cinema’s sake. Guess that’s too much to ask for, lol 🥲
