The cheesy Christmas flick starring Lacey Chabert as a widow afraid to open her heart to love again and Dustin Milligan as a sentient snowman with a killer pack of abs, Hot Frosty, is now streaming on Netflix.

The film currently holds an 89% critic approval rating on RottenTomatoes.

It was fine. Not my fave, and by far not the worst Netflix romcom original I've seen (which TBH i saw last week - Mother of the Bride). I just kept calling him Ted the entire time.

I saw ads for Mother of the Bride and noped out of that pretty quickly lol. Hot Frosty scratched the same itch for me as The Knight Before Christmas-whimsical, magical bullshit with a nonsense plot and great chemistry. I need a crossover!

Every single actor in Mother of the Bride was there for the paid vacation to Thailand and put about 5% effort into the movie. Nobody had chemistry with anyone else except for between themselves and their alcohol.

(plus it was one of those movies with a very cringey end credits dance sequence)

I get in the mood for these corny movies every now and then. This being the top film on Netflix is such a big 'fuck you' to Hallmark who wanted to fire Lacey for being "too old."

I liked it, fun watch, and no complaints here.

Lacey to Netflix is a long time coming, and much deserved.

God i can't get over Dustin's hair in this. Ted Mullens would never.

And idt Hugo Friedkin would either.

It's truly awful. It doesn't work for his face shape at all. Short hair with a little scruff is the way to go.

It was silly and fun - I like how the Netflix Christmas movies (The Knight Before Christmas, The Princess Switch, etc.) have some kind of tie-in to A Christmas Prince. PLUS, if the Mean Girls reference is a clue that Kathy is Gretchen Wieners who went through the witness protection program some time after graduating high school - that means Mean Girls and Netflix Original Christmas Movies share an extended cinematic universe together!!!1
