Interesting pick! I'm actually surprised he's never hosted before!
Also I've watched Emilia Perez and it was good but clunky....def didn't need to be 2hrs! Zoe is the frontrunner for supporting from the trends but she's literally the lead of that movie lol!! Selena was actually pretty but lol no any BSA consideration. She and Zendaya are kinda similar in that they are decent for conversational scenes but when they need to show strong emotions....it's 😬😬😬 weak.
Karla is the one tipped for a BA nom but honestly I didn't think she was that impressive, so so far Mikey Madison is the frontrunner for Anora and I guess if no one else comes out with a stronger narrative then she might get it. I thought she was good in Anora but the hype didn't reach me.
Nicole Kidman is the other potential for Babygirl and I've seen some critics say it's a return to form. Plus she also won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival. I'm kinda hoping Babygirl lives up to the hype cause I wanna root for her!
If Last Showgirl hits the right vein then maybe Pamela Anderson. But that distributor doesn't have the reach of its competitors so could be a hard road. People love a narrative though so maybe!
I'd love if Marianne Jean Baptiste in Hard Truths got nommed, but once again Bleecker Street doesn't have the budget of its competitors.
cool that Pamela Anderson is even in the conversation! I see various Gold Derby experts have her down as a Golden Globes nomination prediction. Not that the GGs are super prestigious but...they're there
