Oh, speaking of series, there are 4 so far. The first one is the Treasure series that goes from their debut in 2018 to 2020; Fever series is next and goes from 2020 to 2021; The World series is 2022 to 2023; and the Golden Hour series started this year in May. They have a very extensive and often confusing lore, which you don't necessarily need to know to be a fan, but it's fun for those of us who like lore. :p The most basic way I can explain it is that there are two dimensions, A and Z, and Ateez are able to travel between them. Dimension A is basically our world, the normal world; in dimension Z there's an oppressive dystopian government that they and their counterparts from dimension Z called the Black Pirates, or more often "Halateez," fight to take down, and that comes to a head in The World series. We switch to Golden Hour after this has been achieved; presumably we're back in dimension A now but I'm not totally sure, there's some weird things happening. :p
There are fan favorite b-sides that in some cases are more well-loved than the titles (especially in my case - if the title is polarizing, I know that there are some b-sides that will still slap). Those typically include Utopia, Aurora (written by Hongjoong, the 'captain' (aka leader - oh yeah they're also pirates lmao)), Mist, THANK U (written by Hongjoong for his best friend Seonghwa - my bias who's the one in my avatar), Star 1117 (the official song for ATINY; we were given our official name on Nov 17, 2018 (we just had our 6th bday yesterday!)), Turbulence, Be With You, Take Me Home, Cyberpunk, pretty much the entire Outlaw album (and Wake Up for me especially), and the unit songs from The World Ep.Fin: Will (all the members wrote the lyrics for their respective unit songs). For Golden Hour it seems a bit too recent to say which ones are universally loved just as much or more than the titles, but I really love Blind and Siren from GH1, and Selfish Waltz (written by Hongjoong, thank you king) and Man On Fire from GH2.
Some other songs that I really love are: Treasure, Twilight, Stay, Promise, Horizon (Hongjoong written), Precious, Fever, Eternal Sunshine, Sector 1, Silver Light. From their Japanese releases, my favorites are: Dreamers, Blue Summer, Better, Still Here, Limitless, Diamond, Not Okay. Their most recent Japanese EP is Birthday.
Hongjoong and Mingi, the two official rappers, write all their own raps. Oh, and Jongho is the best male idol vocalist of the 4th gen, yeah I said it.
That was probably more info than you were expecting haha, but if you have any more questions I'd be glad to answer. :)
