[Link to spoiler]This show has been my fav since the start, but its been a hot mess for a while, esp this season. I won't lie, I still haven't fully gotten over Miguel being kicked off that damn balcony. Every time he gets hit I cringe so hard, even tho its been a year or two and he's supposed to be fully healed. I am rooting for him to win this whole thing. If he doesn't, I might be bitter lol. Johnny telling Miguel he's his son too and Miguel's tears. Oh my heart. I still adore them together. I can't help it. That said I am happy Robby got his head together and actually had some really good leadership moments toward the end, but we also need serious one on one Johnny/Robby time. He's had little to no screen time with his own son ALONE since they made amends. Its long overdue. I hate they had Robby cheat over a misunderstanding. She can't catch a break with her BF's always cheating on her. She lost her mom, she's conflicted and asked for a pause, not for her bf to go to another girl right away. Clearly, he doesn't trust Tory at all if a stranger's word is all it took for him to do that. That's as ridiculous as the writers constantly writing Sam to have every guy she talks to fall in love with her and fighting over her in two seconds. That beach scene was unnecessary and waste of time. Could have been used to focus more on Johnny and Miguel having a bit more one on one time with Carmen after that scare, which seems so out of pocket now, since it was only a two second scene. Had me worried for no damn reason. Johnny and Daniel, just kiss and make up for good, y'all getting on my nerves and Amanda's. I'm kinda over the Miyagi past situation. I was intrigued at first, I'm over it now.
Now the big WTF moment. Was it necessary for that boy to accidently take himself out in that way, in front of everyone? And for what? I won't lie tho, the way it was going slow motion and Daniel was going toward him and it kept showing the knife, my ass started sweating and I low key panicked thinking Danny might actually get hurt by trying to stop him. He might get on my nerves sometimes, but with it being the last season, all bets are off and anything can happen and I got scared as hell lol. Same with Johnny when he gets in these fights. I am totally not prepared for something to happen to either one of them knuckleheads. So Leave them alone for my health, thank you.

For a similar reason, I was also annoyed that Daniel was so shocked/upset by finding out that whoever Mr. Miyagi fought in the 1940s tournament died. First of all, he is jumping to a lot of conclusions based on almost no information. Apparently the Sekai Taikai records aren't thorough enough to provide an explanation of how or why his opponent died so for all they know, he had a severe asthma attack. On top of that, I'm pretty sure that anyone who practices martial arts knows that accidents happen all the time. The Mr. Miyagi who was shown in the movies was not the kind of person who would murder someone on purpose, so I would be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. Instead of acting like Mr. Miyagi did this terrible thing, Daniel should be feeling bad that Mr. Miyagi had to carry this terrible thing with him for his entire life.
The main thing that has really annoyed me about this entire S6 Mr. Miyagi storyline is Daniel's attitude. I totally understand wanting to learn more about someone he considered a mentor and a father figure. And I'm willing to concede that Daniel was a bullied teenager when they met so his first thought wasn't to ask Mr. Miyagi for his life story. But acting like Mr. Miyagi had this whole secret life that he kept from Daniel is ridiculous. There are so many things that my own parents (who I have a good relationship with) have never told me, and even when I start asking direct questions, they are reluctant to share a lot about their pasts. That doesn't mean they are hiding a bunch of secrets. It means that there are things they aren't comfortable talking about. That doesn't mean they are hiding some huge life altering secrets though.
When Daniel found out that Mr. Miyagi had committed a crime (I can't remember what it was but I think it was burglary?), again I was not surprised that he didn't volunteer that information to Daniel. Not everyone wants to go around talking about things that they're ashamed of or feel guilty about. That doesn't make Mr. Miyagi a terrible person. No matter how close you are to someone, they are entitled to some shred of privacy.
The thing that made me REALLY mad about Robby cheating on Tory is that when she said they should focus on the tournament while they were there, her meaning seemed pretty clear, but it was very specifically clarified when Robby asked if she was breaking up with him and she said no but that they needed to put things on pause so they could each focus on karate. But somehow he took "let's not have any relationship drama for the next three days" and interpreted that as "fuck other people."

[Link to spoiler]Esp the Miyagi stuff and Daniel's attitude. He is absolutely jumping to conclusion. He actually pissed me off when he hit Johnny for even mentioning Miyagi's secret in the first set of episodes and the way Johnny had to bite his tongue and hold himself back from hitting him back. To be honest if he knocked Daniel's lights out for that, it would have been totally deserved. And that is another thing that bugs me. How much Johnny has had to take a backseat to Daniel/Miyagi stuff. I feel a bit sad for him. I know some might not agree, but he brought back Cobra Kai and started it back from nothing and had to fight Daniel all the way to keep it, then finally won the tournament, then lost Cobra Kai to Kreese, then to Silver cause he's not the owner. Then lost his students and got some back and then lost his own Eagle Fang and now has to work with Daniel's Dojo under Miyagi, doing it basically Daniel's way, while actually working for Daniel as his real job at the dealership. And even have Daniel's daughter basically telling him he needs to do it her dad's way. And if he dare brings up Miyagi, Daniel is ready and willing to hit him almost every time and does actually hit him. Like I know that man is ready to roundhouse kick him and scream and I don't blame him. lol

On a kind of shallow note, imagine flying from LA to Barcelona back to LA and then back to Barcelona all within what I think was maybe three days. I would have to sleep for a week after that!

The flight thing was ridiculous and I kept thinking no way Miguel would have been able to fight after all that lol
