the substance is incredible, i loved everything about it, i hope demi is nominated for stuff just bc she's had an incredible career and deserves the flowers but i wonder if her role is missing like a big outward monologue or something to really win...

i think the last 20 minutes or so are what's hindering demi from getting a nom. the academy doesn't like horror movies, and especially not body horror. if you cut out the last 20 minutes you could say the movie is more of a thriller/drama. however, at this point i think it's possible she'll get a nom bc this is one of the most talked about movie of the year and it's doing well internationally too
