Seeing all the cabinet picks Trump has announced makes me just want to completely dissociate from reality. It's some real nightmare fuel.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Or the rest of the world is doing. I'm not sure. I keep talking to Democrats who voted Trump, because of all the socialist policies enacted by the Democrats and I keep wondering/asking WTF they are talking about. We must leave in two different realities.

is the socialism in the room with us now?

because i'm pretty sure capital only further concentrated to the 1% during Biden's era. If anything it was affirmative action for billionaires.

I'm telling you: Different Realities. I've heard so many claims of socialism from lower to middle class people and I'm so bloody tired of fighting with these people. It's not even inauguration day and he's talking about finding a way to do a third term. I just can't.

ugh I agree. I live in the supposed socialist paradise of San Francisco and we just elected a Levi's heir with no political experience to the mayor's office. If even we can't fight the capitalists, no one fucking can.

Speaking of socialism, I wish Bernie had been elected President when he ran.

People on this site absolutely despised him and would bite your head off if you presented a single shred of a fact in his defense lol it was such an exhausting time to be on here. This country would be in an entirely different place rn if the DNC weren't crooked to the bone.

God i WISH the Dems were socialists.

Do these people even specify these supposed policies or do they just parrot their Trumpy friends?

I haven't gotten a single answer about a 'socialist' policy. Mostly it's 'they are turning everyone trans'.

It's ignorance. Willful ignorance.

Very willful, considering that these aren't people who will benefit from any fiscal policies he'll make. If anything, they'll be hurt.

It is honestly insane thaf Repubs cab cry socialism at anything and people are like "Oohhhhh noooo save us"

While Dems can be like "Wow sounds a lot like authoritarianism " and people be like "I've never heard that word in my life, what could you possibly mean"

Let's face it, it's not socialism as much as fear of anything different from us and fear of white men losing their status. I've had a discussion today with someone who said that women are tots free to get abortions everywhere. When I pointed out that it's not true, the answer 'fly where you can and go to a private clinic'. Like the fuck is that answer. This from an educated man who's a registered Democrat. I just can't.

I might just ignore the world for a while.
