This show is enjoyable enough because of main characters’ dynamic but the mystery is lacking a bit. She magically solves everything while an actual detective always makes wrong guesses lol. I wouldn’t mind it if it was more about the characters but they do focus a lot on the cases each episode because of the format, it just ends up too easy for her. I’d be surprised if it gets renewed.

Reminds me of Bones

I heard of that show but never watched 🤣

lol. Bones was the worst. Even if the person was poisoned, it is not confirmed until she sees a nick in their bones from the needle 🤣. The ME with the tissues and the testing was just there for vibes.

Lmao. I had such a hate relationship. Temperance was terrible? She treated Angela like shit and lifted all the sex plots from Angela and didn't tell her?

They need to test the bugs and the tissue can be examined

But only Temperance can solve the issue.

I also HATED Bones/Booth. Plus we never saw a romance. We knew they kissed and 3min later she was pregnant, season over. New season she is 8mo and they live together:

UGH.

I know this hasn't been the only genius not the stupid cops show but I cannot think of older ones (which is bugging me).

I need The Irrational and the show with Kaitlin Olsen. The name is escaping me. I really really enjoy them. But they need to tone down the genius

I really don't know how I watched Bones from start to finish? I was young and underemployed, so I had a lot of time. Is Elsbeth the other show you were thinking of?

it's a remake of a french tv show which got four seasons as of right now, so i do hope this one gets renewed

Damn everything is a remake

The creator did say he plans for the slowest burn ever for the main couple but idk they’ve been cancelling much better shows left and right for years so I don’t even know what gets renewed unless it’s crazy popular. Like it’s enjoyable but Idk how well it’s doing

i hope he doesn't see them getting together in season 5, because that's too ambitious

i am also giving up after seeing that My Lady Jane and The Acolyte were canceled despite both shows doing well

I am kinda nervous about when he sees it happening too because it sounded wayyy too slow, I don’t want it getting cancelled before a kiss at least 💀

My Lady Jane crushed me (and GRRM too apparently? Lmao) I’m at least glad the couple got a happy ending :/

I don’t really get what it takes for a renewal, some cancelled shows had great reviews but the networks decided not to promote them for some reason, I found “My Lady Jane” randomly on a list of shows

If it is ever canceled, i would rather it happen before the kiss because i would be invested after lol
At the moment, i don't see them as anything more than colleagues

What is GRRM?
My Lady Jane was extremely popular on twitter, at least in my feed, but only because of fandoms
it has the same audience as Bridgerton

IA - even this episode, trapped in a room full of cops , she is the only one to crack the case.

yeah, it's so unbelievable it's hard to ignore sometimes (I had a similar issue with Mike on Suits but he had more flaws as a character at least), like how did these people do their jobs before she got there? lmao and it's always some tiny thing that unravels everything in a flash, I really wish she was more flawed with her ability or that the other cops weren't so incompetent, she basically has a superpower and is always right which isn't that interesting to me personally in these type of shows, I like to see them solve a case in a smart, human way, not see one tiny thing and suddenly she's giving a monologue about how the first toilet was made and how it led to whatever she's supposed to be solving now and just like that, it's solved. I like Kaitlin and the characters, but damn I need the cases to be harder for her so that resolution feels more earned lol

That is one of the things I think is done best on Elsbeth. It's the same premise but at least she is a former very high power defense attorney. I believe she understands crime in a way that works with the new show (instead of TGW/TGF
