Dwayne Johnson is on damage control and speaks with GQ about the reports he is unprofessional on film sets.

The Wrap reported that Johnson was constantly late to set, causing the budget for Red One to go up to $250 million. And there were reports that instead of bathroom breaks, he would pee in water bottles and hand them off to PAs.

Johnson said that yes, he’s sometimes late to set but not in a way that causes problems. The Wrap said that sometimes he would be 8 hours late.

“Yeah, that happens,” Johnson told GQ. “But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous.”

The Rock even admitted to peeling in water bottles but everyone was cool with it. He was just trying to save time on set. 😐

“Yeah. That happens…I’ve said a thousand times… ‘Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.’”

His Red One costar Chris Evans also spoke to GQ in his defense. Evans said that he’s seen worse behavior on other film sets and it wasn’t a problem on theirs.

He said that they all knew when Johnson would arrive on set. Evans also said that Johnson was generous with the crew members and gave away around $100k to various crew members.
