This is interesting, and I'm curious to see how it develops. The TV landscape is changing-all the money was pumped into making programmes to draw people to online streaming platforms, and they reached diminishing returns very quickly. So many people in the industry were out of work last year and this year due to production slow down because money wasn't coming in. Productions can't afford to go overbudget to secure to some guest star. So, favoured nations seems to be the fair way to go.

But, to the point of this article, we saw echoes of this standard a few years ago - I remember that insidious bitch Juliana Margulies was asking for a lot of money to guest start on "the good fight" - she was offered the Guest star rate for the good fight but wanted to be paid the same rate she earned as lead on The Good Wife. She essentially wanted to be paid the same or, most likely, more than the black leads of the show! Elsbeth is a CBS show from the same producers as the Good fight wife so they may have set the presence on The Good fight

I'm also a bit tipsy from day drinking so this might not make any sense. but it is making sense in my head.
