No need to nasty, y’all picked your winner…All we can do is be hopeful and wish the best. Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine. pic.twitter.com/pj05rnKY57

As someone who isn’t American, it’s not clear to me why there’s so much obsession with Trump. I mentioned during the debate that his messaging was more effective and got a lot of hateful comments here. It’s a sad day for the U.S.

“Kamala Harris lost this election when she pivoted to focus almost exclusively on attacking Donald Trump,” veteran pollster Frank Luntz said on X, formerly Twitter. “Voters already know everything there is about Trump - but they still wanted to know more about Harris’ plans for the first hour, first day, first month and first year of her administration.

“It was a colossal failure for her campaign to shine the spotlight on Trump more than on Harris’ own ideas.”

But why don’t give a shit? He won both the electoral and popular votes. More Black and Latino voters supported him compared to the last election. Voters under 30 and first-time voters also turned out in record numbers for him. Traditional they are Dems voters, why did they switched, that’s something the Democrats need to figure out in the next three years, or they’ll face the same outcome. Clearly, her messaging wasn’t the only problem.

sounds like black folks voted in the same rate they did for 2020.

idk it's not like he won by huge margins

sexism and racism were enough to win the day i think

Because women will never ever be enough. Nothing we do will ever be enough. We are hated, absolutely fucking loathed, and this country will never miss a chance to knock a woman down.

You're correct. Dems were in the same position the last time he won as well, and they didn't learn. Democrats need a large revitalization in the party, but certain old ass politicians won't let that happen.

Most voters don't think beyond their immediate sphere. They think, "Oh, gas/rent was cheaper before 2020 under Trump!" not realizing how he had been dismantling unions, worker protections, consumer protections, environmental protections, our public education system, affordable housing, etc.

And if you think about it: a lot of people fall for MLM schemes and scams. It's not surprising that they would be swindled twice. And you have to remember: although he won the popular vote, it was 67M to 72M out of a population of ~300M. So, there were still a lot of people who saw through his bullshit.
