Cardi B

No need to nasty, y’all picked your winner…All we can do is be hopeful and wish the best. Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine. pic.twitter.com/pj05rnKY57

One of my coworkers keeps telling me they’re gonna recount the votes. And she’s been crying all day

The delusional.

He won. We have to keep pushing forward. No point in having hope about fraud.

Hope is how Jill Stein collected that $8 mil she vanished with.

I think that's the part that's killing me the most.

This is the most depressing part for me. It wasn’t even close. She didn’t even get the popular vote.

yeah one of my coworkers is going full conspiracy theorist in the group chat - something about the machines not uploading correctly or something. Like sure there were fuck ups, but not enough for a come back lol

yeah I’m not fond of some of the whispers I’ve been hearing that some hinky shit went down to get him elected. Yes there were instances of voter intimidation and suppression but not enough to keep the 12 million that voted in 2020 away from this election.

I don't think anything happened with the votes themselves, but I do think the US, and many other countries my own included, really need to get serious about foreign influence on our political sphere. There's ways to steal elections without tampering with votes and that 100% is occurring. Trump didn't win this all on his own, but sadly done in a way we don't particularly have precedence for.

mte election interference without having to tamper with literal votes is definitely a thing now and it pisses me off that nothing's being done about it. it's basically ignored. i remember the reports that russia repeatedly interfered with political influence online to get people to vote for trump in 2020 and basically that news came and went with little talk and nothing was done. it made me worried for 2024 and apparently i was right to be worried. on top of that we have this asshole billionaire from south africa trying to bribe people for votes...

yeah what's going on might technically not be illegal but holy shit we really need the laws in this country to catch up in the age of the internet. and, worst of all, idk how that's going to happen when the ones benefiting from the lack of laws are in power.

It's depressing as fuck when you start going down that particular thread. I'm in Canada and our opposition leader who wants to be Prime Minister refuses to get security clearance claiming "he won't be able to talk about things" if he did, when our current PM does just fine??? But most likely there's Russian interference there that he's hiding. Something like 90% of the internet is bots and most of that backed by countries who would very much benefit by the western world falling apart. It's terrifying.

it genuinely is terrifying the more i find out about it. it sounds like a conspiracy theory so i try to be careful but the reality is there's a global issues problem where countries are having an easier time fucking with one another via the internet instead of "old fashion" techniques. like we're almost in an internet version of the cold war with russia but because it doesn't look like anything humanity has ever seen it's largely ignored. it feels like all of these older policymakers don't really realize what is happening and those who do are basically leaving it on the back-burner until it becomes such a gigantic issue in the future it can't be avoided. imo that time would be now but im not a policymaker so im fucked i guess.

This is not going to happen as long as people ignore AIPAC's stranglehold on the US government. You can moan about Russian bots on Twitter, but AIPAC's money has hundred times more influence in this country.

right. social media has brought on a wave of manipulating humans that people barely register and Idk how we fix that with how dangerously vital cell phones and the internet have become

I certainly didn't like the result, but I feel like we are reaping what we sewed for generations of US interference with other countries' elections. The list is very, very long.
