Maybe I'm getting old and want all the kids off my lawn but I find the rise in pop stars making smoking look cool in their videos disturbing.

Gaga in die with a smile is also really off-putting for the same reason.

Studies show that smoking is on the rise among kids and teenagers, especially vaping, after years of declining. I also think it's off-putting.

the rise in smoking in art, is mostly a symbol. not meant to encourage smoking. meant to be a statement.

Yes, but people are stupid and will copy the likes of Beyonce and Gaga to look cool, and sadly cigarettes are really addictive as well as being awful for your health.

I used to work on a respiratory ward and it was so depressing see all the self inflicted disease.

I smoked in college and quit and I don't like it but damn when I'm drunk and I smell it it's hard to resist (but I do lol)

Not only that, but it really distresses me when singers smoke. I realize vocal chords are going to weaken with age, regardless. But why not try to preserve your instrument the best you can?
