What do my eyes perceive? It's 16 drivers in a giant Senna helmet

A post shared by FORMULA 1® (@f1) - Kevin Magnussen is out with an illness, and so Oliver Bearman steps in as a reserve driver for a third time this season
- Lewis Hamilton and Franco Colapinto are the two "home" heroes of the race. Lewis holds a Brazilian honorary citizenship. Meanwhile, Argentinians have reportedly travelled to São Paulo in droves to show support for Franco.
- Lando Norris started out the weekend needing to outscore Max Verstappen by 12 points each race for the remainder of the season (not counting sprint races) in order to become World Champion.
What's the tea?
A certain Red Bull boss was seen leaving Wiliams' hospitality home, sending rumours flying. People are speculating that Sergio Perez is for sure done, and that
1. Franco Colapinto, who is without a seat for next year, will be offered a seat at Red Bull
OR
2. Carlos Sainz will be offered the seat at Red Bull, with Colapinto getting the 2nd seat at Williams
OR
3. Colapinto will be offered a seat at VCARB, with either Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson being promoted to the Red Bull team
What happened in qualifying?
Hopefully no one actually tuned into the qualifying when it was supposed to happen. The rain was pouring, and the start kept getting pushed back by 15 minutes. Two whole hours later it was finally postponed to the next day. Anyone get flashbacks to Belgium 2021?
Lewis: "You should've sent us out! This is ridiculous, we should go out! I wanna go out! If you give us better wet tyres or blankets we'd be able to run in this! I'm putting you on the spot!"

November 2, 2024 The postponed qualifying session also brought bursts of rain and a wet track, but the session went ahead anyway. A short summary: Lots of crashes, red flags, drama, and some surprising results.
Q1
- Everybody on track is slipping and sliding due to the wet conditions
- Colapinto becomes the first victim of the session, crashing into the wall and temporarily red flagging the session
- Albon sets the fastest time and is in the lead when everyone goes out for their final runs
- Norris is in the danger zone. He tries for one last lap, but only manages 14th
- Verstappen beats Albon with his final lap and tops the session
- Norris scrapes by into Q2 in P15, while Hamilton is out. He qualifies P16.
- Also out: Zhou, Hülkenberg, Bearman, Colapinto (crash)
Q2:
- Still tricky conditions
- With five minutes left in qualifying, Sainz becomes the 2nd victim of the day, crashing his Ferrari into the wall and causing a temporary red flag
- Stroll seems to be on a good run until, unfortunately, he becomes the 3rd victim of the day, and - you guessed it - crashing into the wall
- Yellow flags are out for a long time, until suddenly, with 0:46 seconds to go, the session is red flagged completely.
- Verstappen is left hanging and unable to go on a final lap and is out in Q2. He qualifies P12, but he has a 5-grid penalty due to taking a new engine, so he will start P17
- Lots of controversy surrounding the Stroll yellow flag / red flag decision (and yesterday's VSC), with Verstappen fans claiming the FIA are setting up Norris to win the championship due to British bias
- Also out: Perez (no shit), Sainz (crash), Gasly, Bottas
Q3:
- Both VCARBs are somewhat surprisingly through to Q3, as well as Ocon and Albon
- With 6 minutes left, Alonso becomes the 4th victim of the day to put his car into a wall, bringing out yet another red flag. Someone get those poor Aston Martin mechanics a large can of coffee
- Albon is doing well and is in P2 when well... 5th victim of those notorious walls. His car has hit a barrier and we get yet another red flag.
- The VCARBs are flying out on the track, and Lawson finds himself in P2. However, it's not for long as here comes Tsunoda!
- Tsunoda takes over the P2 position. Everyone is ready for Tsunoda's maiden front row start, but wait-
- Russell manages to squeeze into P2 at the very last second, bumping Tsunoda down to P3
- Rounding out the top 5 is Ocon who managed a surprising P4, and Lawson who ended up in P5. Who would've thunk!
- Norris on pole

Sainz starts from the pit lane and Albon won't start at all due to their crashes in qualifying
https://www.instagram.com/f1/p/DB6eFetvx7C/ What happened in the sprint?
- Piastri leads from pole, with Lando, Leclerc and Verstappen following
- A frustrated Lando wants McLaren to apply team orders right away, but McLaren want to wait until the last lap
- Verstappen overtakes Leclerc, putting the McLarens under pressure
- Nico Hülkenberg's car starts sending out smoke. He has to park next to the track. Yellow flags!
- McLaren apply team orders, Lando and Oscar swap positions
- Virtual Safety Car doesn't go on until some laps later, when Nico is already out of his car and walking alongside the track. A lot of online controversy related to this
- Lando wins
- After the race, Max receives a five second penalty for infringing the rules of the VSC. He drops from 3rd to 4th
https://www.instagram.com/f1/p/DB31ueSip_z/ New McLaren cheating scandal?
Well maybe not, but Red Bull wants McLaren investigated, claiming they're cheating by putting small amount of cold water into their tyres in order to keep them cool on track. I mean, at least it's creative.
There is another storm brewing in the paddock. Red Bull suspects McLaren and a few other teams of filling water into the tyres to prevent them from overheating during the race. We've got the whole story.
