I am praying for a Senate miracle so that we can actually pass legislation to protect abortion rights. I'm feeling pretty ok about chances of taking back the House but we need a pro-abortion access Senate to pass a law that can really protect abortion access for all women in the US. The executive branch alone can only do so much.

same, specifically the miracle of Florida finally dumping Rick Scott. My vote for Debbie is banked and counted! (I love that you can tell when your vote is received/counted by mail)

I found voting by mail here unnecessarily difficult 😬 I couldn't find anywhere on the site where I could drop off my mail in ballot because there was a possibility my vote wouldn't count if it wasn't received by Tuesday 7pm if I mailed it... I was worried bc it was Saturday at noon and what if the mail already passed? Ended up driving to the elections office and they had setup like a drive thru ballot drop off, but it wasn't labeled...

Didn't realize til later if I had tried to vote in person I would've been turned away because the hurricane prevented me from getting an ID... I'm actually going on Friday 🤦🏽‍♀️

really? I just googled where I needed to drop mine off (at the same office where the DMV is) and it was really easy. I was able to check it online the next day and see it was counted. I usually vote by mail but I don't actually mail it back, I drop it off to make sure it doesn't get lost in the mail or something

Yeah they just listed early voting sites on the county site, which again I would've been turned away bc of the state voting law that you need to show ID.

In CA they have ballot drop boxes everywhere and will accept your mail in ballot as long as it's postmarked by election day, even if it arrives late.

I hope this for you, guys; I really do. I've been so heartbroken about all the stories that have come out because of the lack of support for abortion and all the bullshit that's stemmed from the ridiculous changes. (I don't even want to think about the stories we don't know.)

I'm not American; in Australia, there have been some talks about changing some of our abortion laws in some states (like going back on them, from what I can gather), and I fear it's because of America's very loud conversations about it.
