Wall Street Journal reported that Elon and Putin have been in regular communication for two years. According to WSJ, Putin asked Elon not to activate Starling satellites over Taiwan as a favor to China. When asked about the WSJ story, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said, "If the story is true that there have been multiple conversations between Elon Musk and the president of Russia then I think that would be concerning, particularly for NASA, for the Department of Defense, for some of the intelligence agencies."

If Democratic Party win, I think there will be investigation about Elon's ties to Russia, which puts SpaceX and Starlink contracts with western countries into question. And there could be investigations about election interference over Twitter.
