are you in the US?

do you mean investments as you wanna get into individual stock trading or starting at the bare basics of investment? by bare basics i mean starting at the safer side of retirement investment savings (401k, 403b, etc. via employer or IRA just personally yourself).

as i advise anyone to first max out their 401k + IRA annual contributions AND THEN getting into riskier investments beyond that. theres of course personal situations that are diff, like my friend contributes to her 401k but has never maxed it, but does own property.

so if you know enough of 401k/IRA and potentially maxing them - are you happy with your choices? with their growth? cuz ill expect most likely you are already investing in index funds/mutual funds, etc. why not trade in similar or the same outside of these retirement accounts? as those funds are a collection of top companies stocks which is lower risk than deciding which individual company to invest in, no eggs all in one basket type shit ya know? like when my friend gets company RSUs vested and released to him - he immediately sells his stocks. he wants the liquid cash asap but also does not believe in the longevity of his company share prices ( ... )

yeah! i mean if you do have more specific questions lemme know and i might be able to answer. you understand what i said cuz retirement 401ks or employee stocks are the same as regular personal investment trading with diff tax rules essentially.

and i made a friend recently, learned she became a millionaire from selling a website she created. and what do ya know? she said the first year after she did do singular company stock trading and realized it was too risky gamble for her anxiety lol and now advises people to just do index/mutual/etfs.

also just in case, i hope you have a high yield savings account.
