According to The Hollywood Reporter, a film set in the Game of Thrones universe is currently in the works at Warner Bros. There is no filmmaker, cast or writer attached yet.

Throw it in the bin. I've become so negative towards anything ASOIAF now because the HOTD fandom is genuinely one of the most disturbed, vile fandoms I've ever come across.

not OP and probably not the fans that OP meant (ie the anti woke type losers) but i’ve lately found myself super annoyed by the ones who are the newer, show only fans who act like they’ve never interacted in a fandom space before and cannot seem to grasp the shipping concepts that have always been common in fandom spaces-rarepairs, crack ships, what ifs, etc. who treat fandom as a moral personality scale.

one of the wildest fandom wars i’ve seen within HOTD fans is people having legit arguments and stan wars over two child characters and using it as an excuse to be racist, misogynistic and/or ableist. the show amping up the tribalism and factional aspect really has people out here treating this like a real life issue and it’s very weird.

Sorry for the late reply, but this subject is so huge I could write an essay. Probably one of the worst things was people making fun of the looks of the child actress that played Jaehaera because they hate Aegon. Like, calling this little five year old girl ugly because they dislike Team Green. It was insane.
