some goon on twitter responded to this saying he makes his wife vote by mail so he can make sure she votes for trump. just openly admitting to a federal crime on his personal twitter account with his real name on it

I try hard to have empathy for the wives in these situations but it’s really hard to sometimes.

Yep cause some of these of women ARE actually conservative and would've probably vote for him again except that now their rights on the line and now they have to cross sides (for this instance only) because they felt the threat that didn't think would happen to them but to other women (of their own actions cause of a lot of them voted for him back in 2016).

Yep “I didn’t think the bear would eat MY face” scenario

Which is still unforgivable cause we all told them "no this will effect YOU too, you're not exempt" but they were too busy being gleeful about screwing over non-white women/liberal white women.

Pretty much. They were ok with the bear eating everyone else but then act shocked once the inevitable happens and the bear turns on them too.

I’ve seen so many men on X (undoubtedly with wives) - cheering to repeal the 19th amendment. They literally think women are so inferior that they shouldn’t have the right to vote. They would gladly strip away their own wives’ rights if they could do so.

Yeah that's why I can't feel for some of these girls cause you are what you married. These misogynistic men never hid who they were, they didn't hide their families or opinions either. You got with him cause he was the same as you. You don't get a sympathy card from me because you shot yourself in the foot.

The thoughts I have for the women that voted for Trump would probably get me locked up if I said them out loud. Sufficed to say, I have zero sympathy for them. (Barring the ones in situations where they were forced by abusers, obviously.) don’t get me started on Supreme Court justice Serena Joy.

I don't have too much mercy for those who don't want to listen or think of their fellow man. If your man is not liking that you're gonna vote for Kamala because normally you'd vote similar to him....that's on you babe. You were fine joining in with your husband voting for the worst candidate and absolutely gleefully about screwing people who don't look like you.

Don't cry to me now cause he's applying that same attitude to you. It's called hypocrisy.

It's kind of odd to me that voting by mail is even allowed. Exactly for these types of situations, and also what if the votes get lost in the mail? In my country you have to go vote in person. Some sort of online voting has been debated, but that could be manipulated by spouses etc. so it hasn't happened.

If the vote gets lost in the mail, you can 'cure' it at the county clerk. It's only worth the time if there was a measure or candidate that lost by 1 vote. They rejected my signature in 2020 but everything I voted for was decided by a decent margin.

There are plenty of cons for voting by mail, but a huge pro is that it allows more people to vote. People with severe physical disabilities can vote without leaving their homes, people of color (especially Black Americans) can avoid racism, there’s less voter intimidation from strangers/polling places (like churches making people feel like they have to vote more conservatively), and in general it just allows everyone to take their time to research the issues rather than frantically vote the day of.

It also can just be safer, sadly. The other day an 18 year old Trump supporter was arrested in my city for taunting voters and pulling a machete on them.

i started voting by mail for convenience. don't have to go anywhere except to the post office. don't have to deal with lines or dumbasses or potential mess. only downside is that
no sticker!

I love voting by mail, I've always done it.

My husband and I fill out our ballots together but we're both like "what does this bond mean" or "is this judge bad" -- and usually it's my husband copying mine lmao. It's "which candidate is more progressive? okay, done" because I work in politics and know the ins and outs more.

I can't imagine being married to someone that didn't support my values and who I had to hide my vote from. I hope these women get out; they're living with controlling and abusive men. No wonder the same people calling women who vote for Harris in secret "having an affair" want to get rid of no fault divorce. Ladies, leave his ass!

I also was contacting voters today and an 18 year old girl told me her dad wouldn't let her vote. The misogyny is breaking my fucking heart.
