IDK, this kind of seems like an attempt to get fired so he can break any contracts he might have LOL.
I mean, don't publicly bite the hand that feeds you? You don't want potential employers to think you're difficult by complaining about your cushy gig to the media.

For the most part I think his statements are pretty fair and not disparaging compared to other actors who go off the rails. But I wonder if he's trying to bargain or get fan support so he can level with the powers that be?

He’s not wrong, and I understand being unhappy with your job, especially if you know you could do it better and no one is listening to you. But, at the end of the day, he’s being paid well, and this role has opened many doors for him. He could have kept this to himself, which only confirms my theory that this was a deliberate move to get what he wants. Many publications picked this up, and they all apparently contacted Netflix for comment.
