Allegedly Channing was hiding money that Jenna wanted for her involvement in Magic Mike or saying she is owed money for it, something like that. Dragged on for ages bc of it.

Was she involved in Magic Mike? Or was it that she felt he had made more for MM than he had let on and therefore she felt she deserved more money in the divorce?

She was claiming she was involved in the creative work behind the movie, I believe, since she is also a dancer

Hmmm. Was she not credited anywhere? Not that I ever want to defend the white dude, but if they were still happily married when the movie came out I feel like Channing would have ensured she got credit/paid if she did work on it.

I guess we really don’t know shit all that happened during this divorce lol

I went to read and it says she is claiming the financing for the film and development came out of community funds and effort, so i guess she believes that since he used money they made while married she deserves a cut on top of raising his child. I know she has mentioned in the past she felt like a single parent when their daughter was first born. They were both on the same level when they got married then he blew up so it probably was money she made in there too at the time. Didnt Magic Mike blow him up to a new level?

She was likely raising their kid when MM2 eas being filmed/during promo tour so I’d say she’s definitely entitled to some of that money.

oh, I am not arguing that. I was meaning specifically it seems odd she wouldn;t have got credit for working on the film.

No worries, I didn’t think you were, I was just assuming what could’ve slowed things down during the divorce proceedings since we don’t have many details (or maybe we do and I wasn’t paying attention lol)

California is a community property state. Even if she didn't do a single thing to help with the movie at all, she is entitled to 50% of his earnings during their marriage just as he's entitled to 50% of hers. He apparently tried some slick accounting to hide assets and she fought for her proper settlement.
