I just feel like celebrities are always breaking up, getting engaged and repeat. Is it not exhausting?

If it isn't connected to financial hardship.. maybe not?

I have an acquaintance from college who has been married and divorced twice and had a broken engagement (oh and she moved to a new city for each one of these men) all in the last 10 years. Some people are just like that.

when i was in college a classmate was engaged to marry mister #3. her daughter has an “ae” in her name. i always wonder if mom is giving elizabeth taylor a run for her money. we lost touch and whenever i see an r/tragedeigh name i think of her kid.

As another ONTDer told me once, actors/celebs have access to the hottest people for relationships and a lot of times they're based on lust and attraction and forced togetherness on shoots and stuff, and then when that part of the equation is removed, so is the spark that kept them together.

This is why I am so eager to see what happens to Ariana and her man after all the Wicked movies and promos are done.

Well, he's not hot so he must have something going on other than attractiveness LMAO

(I would say "maybe he has a big dick" but lbr most women just want average our cervixes would otherwise be sad.)

they'll stay together until she needs to mop up a huge spill or she sees her ex husband being happy.

Yeah, they don’t really live in the real world. It’s all glamorous parties, luxury getaways and film shoots (which must be like a school field trip); it’s probably easy to become infatuated with someone in those circumstances

It happens with crews on location as well. It is the force proximity and the not quite summer camp atmosphere. I have developed crushes on people that I would have swiped left for on a dating app.

I think it’s this. Relationships start because they’re in close proximity to each other for long periods of time so things don’t require a ton of effort. It stops being easy when the project has officially wrapped and that’s when most couples call it. When they have to start putting the work in.

It's the same thing that happens - or WOULD happen, really - to many couples in romance movies, books, games etc. They're only falling in "love" because of forced proximity and the shared experience of going through something. When you take that out, what are you left with? They're not on set doing the hard work of building a relationship, they have other things to do. But at the same time, being a celebrity has a ROUGH schedule and fellow celebs can understand that, and it's tough on a mixed celeb/non-celeb pair. It takes even MORE hard work and dedication to keep relationships going, and relationships are hard for even non-celebs. For celebs, it's a LOT working against them.

I think attractiveness doesn't factor into it as much as people think. It happens with crews on this shoots as well. You are working 12 to 14 hour days you see these people more than you see your own family, niceness, turns into banter, turns into flirting, flirting turns into...

Right? Meanwhile I have a few friends who were engaged or married in their 20s and have been single ever since their breakups. Some of them still date around, but one is so happy just being alone. Idk.

Then again, one of my HS classmates was married and divorced THREE times before she turned 30 and another had 6 kids with 3 different women (all long term relationships) before he turned 35. So, normies can be wild, too.
