My guess is it has to do with the sexual chemistry that eclipsed their very different personalities and distracted them from their respective failed marriages finally wearing off, combined with the tension from her movie she worked her ass off in not doing great versus his Gambit cameo blowing up.

ooh that's a good theory. I think Channing was still trying to settle his divorce with Jenna while he's been engaged to Zoe. Channing and Jenna just recently settled too. I wonder if that put a strain on his and zoe's relationship.
