I think people focus too much on the mystery, I do agree the reveal is always meh but this is a comedy show about a found family with murders sprinkled in, so idk why people's expectations are so high for the reveals. The show delivered the laughs and wholesomeness perfectly

Same. I haven’t watched for the murders since s1. The trio is the heart of the show and they delivered on that so well this season.

The OMITB Reddit showed up on my feed a few weeks ago and I was a little surprised at how mystery focused all the posts were because honestly I don’t really care about that at all. It just gives me a reason to watch all these characters together, which is what I’m here for lol

Yeah, me too. Like, I was into the mystery until I guessed the season 1 killer early, then I was like oh, okay, this won't be that complex then and it's probably not really the point, and they proved that by expanding the wholesomeness of the show and making the mystery just an excuse for these characters to interact and be funny together hahah

I was invested in the mystery because of Sazz and her connection to Charles. Was the killer after Charles? Was it someone they all knew and liked?

because it's the whole premise of the series, some people watch it for comedy and some for the story
they've been toying with the format of circling the killer for a while now and it started to wear off
it looks like gossip girl reveal, and the entire season was about writing a story, what an irony!
Martin Short has been carrying the series for the last three seasons now, and I hope he will get his Emmy eventually because this is hard work

It’s the premise yeah but it was the weakest part of the show since season 1 and that hasn’t changed, we’ve been able to guess the killers easily, it’s supposed to be the motive for all these characters to hang out, the writing is strongest when it comes to comedy and the characters, mystery is okay but I don’t expect this to be some very complex murder mystery, I feel like reveals are meh because three random people should be able to solve the murders so I don’t expect much from that part of the show 🤣

Same and tbh the murder got me even more this season because it was Sazz and we really knew her and her relationship with Charles was so special.

The ledge merengue killed me too lol.

yeah, same. this was the first season where the victim's death had such a huge emotional impact on the show and the characters and well, me, as a viewer.

Even though we saw how much Tim Kono's murder meant to Mabel, it didn't really affect me as a viewer because he died before he got to know him. In contrast, we have been seeing Sazz for long enough to see her friendship with Charles, so having her as the murder victim added a connection to the audience (at least it did for me).

I really loved that Jan was so chipper about killing Marshall. Her cheerful wave from across the way made me laugh.
