Anna Kendrick says "f*ck you" to the director who set her up to fail and mocked her on set.

“A director once in a room full of 100 extras or something was like, ‘Hey, on this next one just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something.' And I did it and then the… pic.twitter.com/OY1zyVf7aW

I see some people are making up fan fiction about what she must be like to justify their dislike of her.

lol this really shows you don't know anything about the alacala case or understand why people might be a little perturbed a real event was made into something for easy #girlboss media with totally made up events but okay if you think that's fanfiction.

Wasn't talking about you. I am very familiar with the Alcala case, and have not seen Woman of the Hour, so I'm not even defending that. Just Anna herself, as a person.

I watched the movie and they are being so weird about it. It's not girlboss, it's a girl realising LA is the worst and meeting him being her last straw.
The victims are also very lively people that you feel for when he harms them so, I don't know what tf they are talking about tbh.

But yeah I agree with you ppl are doing the most here!

I was srsly confused by the #girlboss description, I can't recall anything like that in the movie

We found the main character....

They're talking about the people commenting about the "vibes" she gives off, and how they "heard rumors about her being a bitch..." as a reply to her saying a man embarassed her in front of 100 other people.

And this reply of yours is proving their point even more.

None of this has anything to do with the movie.

No, just like James Corden, she's a celebrity known for being rude. The dislike seems valid.

The director could've been an asshole to her for no reason too tho. Both can be true.

But aren't all those stories of her being rude secondhand? I'm not saying there can't be truth to tabloid rumors, but I do think they should taken with a grain of salt. There are other celebrities (mostly female, let's be real) who have been dogged by similar whisper campaigns that later proved to be untrue, or were the result of misunderstandings. But I could certainly be wrong. Is there actual evidence, like in Blake Lively's case?

I honestly don't have strong feelings about her, either way. It just seems to me that the hatred for her is OTT, and I can't help but sense an undercurrent of misogyny there. (Not that criticizing women is an inherently misogynistic act, of course. But in cases like this, the level of vitriol feels unwarranted.)

IDK, the stories I've heard were from people who work on sets. A couple of stories could be a coincidence. A lot of stories like that? That looks like a James Corden situation.

Okay, one more comment, and then I'll shut up. My Google-fu is failing me and I can't find the stories you're talking about, though I do see one firsthand account of a stylist who allegedly worked with her (but not on a set) and it sounds like bog-standard celebrity rudeness (being generally entitled and barely acknowledging the stylist's presence). There are quite a few firsthand accounts of James Corden being nasty, maybe even verbally abusive, on many separate occasions. So I don't think that's a fair comparison.

Why are you doing this? It is, frankly, embarrassing as hell.

Such a weird ass hill to die on.

I don't think we have even ONE Anna stan here.

Are you okay?

You said these are stories you heard from people who work on sets. How the hell am I supposed to Google that???

Did you post these stories on a blog or something?

I could see how her dry humor could be perceived by a humorless person as rudeness and then spread as a fact to other people
