I’m not sure whether I ever saw it as a kid - I feel like I must have as in the early 80s all we had to amuse ourselves was renting slashers and comedies from the video shop - but I watched the OG Halloween about a year ago and I did not care for it. I found it very slow and boring.

I saw it years ago, and was just kinda meh. Other movies have done what it's doing better.

Same. And that theme music was so annoying over and over

I tried to watch it last year and got about halfway through before I had to give it up. So boring and tedious.

I'm sorry I just did not care about The Shining. I watched it and I was like ok.

Honestly, same. I watched Doctor Sleep and loved it though, which I found interesting.

It has a few good scenes, but that’s about it. It always also bothered me what happens to Jack Nicholson has nothing to do with the shining.

I didn't find The Conjuring that scary. When it came out, people called it the scariest movie since Exorcist.

CGI ghosts rarely scare me. They can be well done, but the Conjuring took itself way too serious

I enjoyed it as a movie, but it was more spooky than terrifying.

I just can't stand slashers and I find them less and less appealing every single year.

I am definitely interested in the concept of the emotion behind a (Fictional only) murder but I prefer a nice slow detective where the actual violence is minimal/off screen. It's more interesting to see how a certain situation developed rather than a non stop stream of body parts being flung around.

Yeah slashers and torture porn especially are not for me. I like tension/suspense not gore.
