The beautiful yet sad short features a edited version of "Snowflake" from her 2011 album 50 Words for Snow. The idea for the short arose after the devastating invasion of Ukraine in early 2022 but it was not finished until this year. The singer stresses that although the short was inspired by the situation in Ukraine it is meant to draw attention

I feel like the best families create a safe cocoon where the members get to forget about the pain out there and feel the love, whether those families be "trad" - good parents/loving guardians and kids, to chosen families who save and comfort and love each other and others.

And this feels much more doable in many countries than many others tbh! Just leaving the US to cross the line into Canada, my shoulders DROP and my w home body relaxes, hell going from Bodymore MD to PDX has a similar effect, and going to emotionally-warm and loving parts of the world (I need to find more! Mexico, Italy, NZ, Aus, Canada, after working in Nice, Fr I actually found quite a few lol and pre-war Ukraine one they got to know me, RIP) vs. not open/cold and closed off places unless you have ppl and are established there (much of the US, Much of Russia, Germany, Monaco, Switzerland, I fucking hate these places lol, some are fully devoid of soul).
