It’s weird how much he looks like that guy from Sons of Anarchy that killed a woman and dated Katy Perry.

I tried watching that show but could only get through the first couple of episodes

It's not. She's remained on good terms with him and in the same interview where she talked about her abuse, she spoke of him very highly in comparison to the ex she's told this story about.
