I genuinely don't see how Eddie's story could be about anything else. He's not gonna just date another woman now that he's "moved on from Shannon," he's not gonna "find religion," like some people think he is. Just on a pure press coverage level, the amount of interviews/press/BTS focus he's getting would suggest a bigger storyline than those. we're good. it's gonna happen <3

Right! With the set up and the rumors of it originally being in s5 then cut, and then Eddie/Tommy changed to Buck/Tommy last min, I feel like it's coming. The amount of press is way too much for anything other than something fundamentally shifting.

I really also need Buck to break up with Tommy because I feel like I'm going to get jump scared every week.

yeah exactly! if it were just about him getting over Shannon so he can date a woman ~guilt free~ or whatever people think that's about, or becoming more catholic, we wouldn't be getting this much press. I really wish it had happened season 5 because the set-up with the Ana breakup was perfect, and that scene between him and Ramon. such a fumble. but one that they can rectify!!

absolutely lol i'm so glad he's been featured even less than like...Marisol. I don't need to see his struggle acting. Oliver is doing all the heavy lifting. I've always been a firm "ship who you want" type person but I genuinely think I'm watching a different show than BuckTommy fans lmao. chemistry? where? endgame potential? what? lmao

Absolutely. To think that if it hadn't been killed back then, we could have had buddie canon by now (and not having to deal with Tommy). I feel the most hopeful for Buddie this season, but the hiatus was hard with the, uh, new fans. It brought a whole unenjoyable toxicity to the fandom that didn't exist before (in my experience).

I thought Marisol's actress was awful but lfjr really is giving a run for her money. I can never tell if Tommy is meant to be so uninterested in Buck or if that's just his acting.

Oh man I wish lol🥲we’d be 3 seasons in and they’d probably be planning a wedding by now sigh. But yes! I think there’s no way it doesn’t happen this year. I’m new to the fandom but the toxicity I witnessed during the hiatus was off the charts! Harassing journalists who write about Buddie, attacking people who headcanon Eddie as gay (even though Bi Buck was a headcanon until April!!!), demanding people “respect the canon ship” as if that’s how fandom works lol. Are these loudmouth shippers gonna “respect the canon ship” when Buddie becomes canon or are they gonna continue hassling the showrunner in DMs begging for Tommy to come back?

Right?? She was bad but he’s even worse. That hospital kiss was so painful. He looked like he was struggling. It’s bad when you literally can’t tell if it’s intentional that they have no chemistry or he just can’t act.

I fear we won't get rid of them. So many of them were former Buddies so idk if they'll ever come back to that side or if they'll dig their heels in deeper and keep begging. I've already seen some BT fans wanting the spin off to be Tommy-focused lmao. The ones that get me are the new fans who have only seen a few eps of s7 and refuse to watch anything earlier than 7x04 because they only want Tommy.

Poor Oliver doing all the hard work in their scenes. FREE HIM. He yearns for Buddie.

I feel like you're right, sadly. let them stew lmao I'm not normally so petty but they're so toxic (seriously, harassing journalists who "don't report on Buck's canon relationship"?? what is there to report on lmao he's had 20 seconds so far this season) that I will revel in it as soon as they break up. lmao at wanting him to be the focus of the spin-off so that his bad acting is even more prominent. that show would last 5 episodes if he were the lead. that's wild to me to only watch season 7. I started watching after Bi Buck since the show was all over my twitter and tumblr and I can't fathom only wanting to see this one character. what is interesting about him?? lmao. I wasn't a huge fan of her but Taylor had way more of a personality and screentime. Most of Tommy's screentime has been him being a racist misogynist jerk towards two of the mains.

Their harassment of journalists, fans, Tim, the cast/crew is insane. Some of them need to be studied. I don't get what kind of hold this man has on them - I swear some Tommy fans hate Buck. They just like the idea of Tommy constantly saving him and being the big hero. I hope his helicopter crashes. I really hope the show addresses his prior bigotry considering how poorly they handled Gerrard's.

Meanwhile, Eddie and Buck will continue to be each other's person and hopefully one of them will confess something because idk how much more I can take if them practically being a couple without being an actual couple.

it's just so bizarre to me. like that night Oliver hung out with Ryan, Aisha, and Kenny, and the hardcore BuckTommys had like a 4-hour twitter space to bash Oliver for it. and how they hate him for not posting about their ship. I honestly think you're right. they don't like Buck, they just want Buck to be window dressing for the Tommy show. I can't believe they thought Tommy would be the big hero to save Athena--this woman can land her own damn plane, thank you very much. yeah I assumed their troubles would be about his prior bigotry--some people on twitter don't think so now because they wrapped up Gerrard but there's no saying that it can't still come out imo

Four hours? I remember recently they were asking for Ryan to be written off the show and replaced by Tommy. They genuinely seem to think he's had more impact on the show than he has. The general audience barely register Tommy! Those 20 seconds he had struggle-flirting in 8x01 must have showcased his range of emotions 🙄

My parents also thought Buck and Eddie were a couple at first lol. I truly think it's one of the best friends to lovers slow burns in media. Even if they never go canon, they're clearly so meshed with one another that the relationship has been one of 911's greatest strengths (even when they tried undoing it in S5&6).

It's such a great slow burn and queer love stories almost never get the friends to lovers slowburn on network TV. exactly, they're already a family. it's so beautiful that they're each other's person!
