"Love is Blind, Habibi" Becomes Hit for Netflix
Netflix is continuing its string of dating show its with "Love is Blind, Habibi," the recent iteration of the "Love is Blind" franchise for Arab singles. It is hosted by Saudi celebrities Elham Ali and Khaled Saqer, who are married in real life.
The show differs from the U.S. version because the couples do not cohabitate before marriage. They also participate in a pre-wedding henna ceremony and a katb al-kitab, which is the Islamic marriage ceremony performed by a sheikh.
