I looked up Harry's post because I didn't realize he made one. There's so many negative comments that his post is too similar Niall's. idk how people can be so judgemental about this.
right. harry posted his first, so if anything, niall took inspiration from harry but who cares? how does that make it any less genuine? and don't get me started on the paps who photographed niall on the street like the day after liam died
It def came out sounding pretty PR but I don’t think putting your feelings into words is always easy (I def would struggle) especially given the situation so I don’t blame him for that.
yeah agreed. and it's not like they only have one chance to talk about liam. maybe he'll say more when he's ready and it's been more than like a day after liam died!
And it's also not like any of them are actually obligated to share their feelings with the public, even if they were able to articulate them. But here we are, fans would revolt if they didn't say anything.
Both Harry and Niall have also worked extremely hard to claw back their private lives and rarely share anything personal anymore, so it makes sense that their statements were less personally revealing. Doesn't make them any less.
Harry’s statement is giving “thought and prayers” but honestly? So what. He was so abused by the media and fans that I don’t even think he knows how or even wants to articulate any of his real feelings online. Not to mention the surreal situation of getting one of the worst possible calls you can get, and then knowing at the same scar moment, that you’ll have to parade around your grief and emotions. This goes for all the guys, of course. Like how fucked up is that? Knowing instantly that you HAVE to put something out there for other people. Instead of having the grace and time to process and come to terms with things on your own? It’s so messed up.
honestly maybe his PR team did write it but even if they did, i don't know why anyone should care. grief can be so complicated and messy, to think anybody should have to give a perfect, emotional public statement in the hours after losing somebody is a lot to ask. i found zayn's post to be really touching, because it acknowledged the complicated nature of their relationship but not everybody's able to articulate those things.
Regardless of how many shitty and abusive things Liam did the social media response to Harry’s statement just proves that some people want to hollow all of these guys out the way they did with Liam. Just venomous, keep some things to your fucking selves
Tbh , harrys post was always going to be like that, he’s had a hard shell on for a long time and doesnt tend to make his online interactions personable anymore. He doesnt care less, he just prefers to not have that side of him out in the world, especially after all the overanalyzing of every little thing he would do for so many years
and seeing all that he's not wrong at all. Liam was chronically online and look how that turned out. I really admire how Harry just do his music, get his millions and disappear. He owes nothing to anyone.

And not everyone wants to, assuming that they're even aware of the nuances existing in a relationship.
